Civil Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Enumclaw, WA
Base Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 (DOE)
A well‑established general contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across a portfolio of heavy civil and infrastructure projects in the South Puget Sound region. This role plays a key part in bid strategy, cost accuracy, and successful project execution.
Experience Needed
- 5+ years of estimating experience within heavy civil or civil infrastructure construction
- Experience estimating projects involving earthwork, utilities, roadways, and site development
- Proven background preparing competitive, detailed bids for public and/or private clients
- Experience coordinating with operations, subcontractors, and suppliers during preconstruction
- Familiarity with self‑perform scopes and production‑based estimating
Qualifications Included
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Proficiency with civil estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., HCSS, Agtek, Bluebeam, Excel)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
