Job Title: Project Manager - Land Development (PE Required)

We are a mid-sized regional land development firm focused on delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects throughout Ohio and the surrounding region. Our team combines technical expertise, local market knowledge, and hands-on project execution to successfully advance projects from raw land through finished lots.
We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to serve as a Project Manager within our land development group. This role will lead the planning, design coordination, and execution of land development projects in the Columbus market, working closely with internal leadership, consultants, contractors, and public agencies.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage land development projects from feasibility and due diligence through entitlement, design, construction, and closeout
* Act as the internal technical lead and owner's representative on development projects
* Coordinate and oversee civil engineering design, grading, drainage, and utility layouts
* Manage relationships with surveyors, environmental consultants, planners, and municipalities
* Lead entitlement, zoning, and permitting efforts with local jurisdictions
* Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost tracking
* Oversee bidding, contracting, and construction of horizontal improvements
* Review engineering plans, technical reports, and contractor submittals
* Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with plans and standards
* Identify project risks and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
* Provide clear reporting and updates to senior leadership
Qualifications
* Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
* 6+ years of experience in land development engineering or project management
* Strong background in civil design and horizontal infrastructure for residential or mixed-use projects
* Experience working with municipalities and regulatory agencies in central Ohio preferred
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and consultants simultaneously
* Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
