About the Opportunity
You'll join a respected consultancy with more than three decades of presence across Queensland, supported by a team of 60+ engineers, designers, environmental specialists, and project professionals. With a strong pipeline across residential, commercial, tourism, aged care, education, racing, and environmental projects, this role offers immediate impact and long‑term career progression.
As the Civil Lead, you will oversee project delivery, mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, strengthen client relationships, and drive excellence in civil engineering design and strategy. You'll be part of a team that values communication, inclusion, innovation, and technical quality.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a civil engineering team in the Sunshine Coast office.
- Oversee concept and detailed design for civil infrastructure, land development, and multidisciplinary projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical delivery across diverse sectors.
- Partner with internal structural, environmental, hydraulic, mechanical, and landscape teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive strong client engagement, BD activities, and repeat business through exceptional service.
- Uphold industry‑leading quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent the civil discipline in strategic planning, resourcing, and project leadership meetings.
What You Bring
- 8+ years' experience in civil engineering, ideally within consultancy.
- Proven capability delivering civil infrastructure and land development projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., 12D, Civil 3D, DRAINS, MUSIC).
- Ability to build trusted client relationships and identify new opportunities.
- CPEng preferred (or working towards); RPEQ beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
