Commissioning Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commissioning activities for automation projects, focusing on PLC and SCADA systems.

  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation in alignment with project requirements.

  • Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (controls engineers, electrical engineers, process engineers, technicians).

  • Validate PLC logic, SCADA graphics, and system functionality during FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and communication protocols.

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth handover and operator training.

  • Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, and system performance documentation.

  • Drive continuous improvement in commissioning processes and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in industrial automation, with at least 3 years in commissioning leadership roles.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).

  • Proficiency in SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX, OSI PI).

  • Solid understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
