Project Engineer / Project Manager - Civil & Water Resources
Position Summary:
A purpose-driven consulting firm is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead and support civil and water resources projects in the San Diego area. This role blends technical design expertise with project management responsibilities, offering opportunities to work on innovative, community-focused infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design and delivery of water resources and civil infrastructure projects, including stormwater capture systems, green infrastructure, and site development.
- Lead project teams through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in civil/water resources design and project management.
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Passion for sustainable design and community impact.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000 annually.
