Director of Construction - Utility-Scale Solar
Location: Virginia (with regional travel)
A leading utility-scale solar EPC is looking to bring on a Director of Construction to support a growing pipeline across the Mid-Atlantic region.
This is a senior leadership role, focused on overseeing multiple active projects, building out field teams, and driving execution across the full construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all construction activities across a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects
- Manage and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and preconstruction teams
- Implement and maintain QA/QC and safety standards across all sites
- Support hiring and scaling of construction teams as the pipeline grows
What they're looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in construction, with strong exposure to utility-scale solar
- Proven track record managing multiple large-scale projects at once
- Experience leading teams across project management and field operations
- Strong understanding of EPC execution, scheduling, and cost controls
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
