Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle development of large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including natural gas-fired generation, pipeline and interconnect infrastructure, renewable assets, and data center-related energy solutions, from origination through NTP.
  • Own development strategy and pipeline growth, identifying and executing greenfield and acquisition opportunities across targeted U.S. markets.
  • Direct commercial, technical, regulatory, and environmental due diligence for individual projects and portfolios.
  • Structure and negotiate complex transactions, including joint ventures, co-development agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide executive oversight of project financials, including pro forma modeling, capital structuring, and investment committee materials.
  • Lead negotiation of key commercial agreements such as power purchase agreements, gas supply and transportation agreements, EPC contracts, and real estate arrangements.
  • Drive projects through financing and investment approvals in close partnership with capital markets teams and external financing partners.
  • Oversee permitting and regulatory strategy at the federal, state, and local levels, particularly for natural gas infrastructure and emissions frameworks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, strategy, procurement, construction, and external advisors to optimize project design and execution.
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships, including utilities, ISOs/RTOs, regulators, landowners, and joint venture partners.
  • Establish and enforce development best practices around governance, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling across a multi-project portfolio.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing development team, providing strategic direction and performance oversight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in energy or infrastructure project development, with significant exposure to natural gas, thermal generation, or midstream assets.
  • Demonstrated track record advancing large-scale projects to financial close and notice-to-proceed.
  • Deep understanding of natural gas markets, including supply, transportation, storage, and integration with power generation.
  • Strong experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements and joint ventures.
  • Expertise in permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory processes for power and gas infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong financial acumen, including oversight of project pro formas and investment decision-making.
  • Familiarity with grid interconnection processes, ISOs/RTOs, and U.S. power market dynamics.
  • Experience with land acquisition, real estate agreements, title review, and ALTA surveys.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executive audiences.
  • Proficiency with standard business and project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to ~30%.
  • Open to flexible or remote-based work within the U.S.

Why This Role / Selling Points

  • Leadership role within a rapidly scaling, integrated energy platform backed by long-term institutional capital.
  • Opportunity to shape a multi‑gigawatt development pipeline spanning power generation and data center-driven infrastructure.
