Director of Operations
A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Director of Operations to support its next stage of development. This role will focus on strengthening internal operations, improving organizational efficiency, and translating strategic goals into clear, actionable plans.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, this person will help align project delivery, business development, marketing, and internal operations to ensure the firm is positioned for sustainable growth. The role is both strategic and hands‑on, suited for someone who is comfortable leading change while also diving into day‑to‑day execution.
Location: Flexible within California
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and streamline operational processes and systems across the firm
- Lead execution of strategic initiatives and firm‑wide priorities
- Strengthen coordination across technical, business development, and operational teams
- Support technology, workflow, and process improvements
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Senior operations leadership experience in a professional services setting
- Background in consulting, environmental services, AEC, or similar project‑based environments
- Strong understanding of operations, project delivery systems, and financial performance drivers
- Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and driving organizational change
- MBA or similar business training
- Experience with digital/technology improvements or scaling organizations
Compensation
Salary range: $210,000-$240,000, depending on experience.
