The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to support hydropower turbine installation, overhaul, and commissioning activities. This is a site‑based execution role, focused on mechanical work during outages, upgrades, and rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform turbine installation, disassembly, and reassembly
- Work on runners, guide vanes, wicket gates, bearings, and seals
- Conduct mechanical alignment, clearance checks, and inspections
- Support commissioning readiness and mechanical completion
- Participate in major and minor hydropower outages
- Interface with electrical and commissioning teams on site
- Prepare field reports, punch lists, and as‑built documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
