About the Role
As a Structural Forensic Engineer, you will lead investigations into structural failures and performance issues across a wide range of building types and materials. Your work will directly support clients in the legal, insurance, and construction sectors by delivering clear, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and structural condition assessments.
- Analyze failures related to wind, seismic activity, thermal effects, fatigue, and impact.
- Develop detailed forensic reports with technical clarity and precision.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, legal professionals, and insurers.
- Provide expert testimony and litigation support when required.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic engineering or structural diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards; international experience a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
