About the Role
You will be responsible for establishing and leading a new geotechnical office in Savannah. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive to build a successful regional presence.
Key Responsibilities
Office Setup & Leadership
- Oversee the opening and management of the Savannah office, including staffing, operations, and compliance.
- Develop strategic plans for growth and profitability in the region.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Savannah and coastal Georgia.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Technical Expertise
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, and reporting for infrastructure, transportation, and commercial projects.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and field staff.
Project Management
- Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables for multiple projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia (required).
- Minimum 10+ years of geotechnical experience, including leadership or business development roles.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation design, and site investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication, networking, and organizational skills.
