About the Opportunity
An established, multi disciplinary engineering consulting firm with 15+ offices across the South and Southeast U.S is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to help lead and deliver complex projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
This role is ideal for a technically strong Geotechnical & Construction Materials Testing (CMT) professional who wants to step into leadership. The firm is intentionally looking to develop this individual into a future Branch Manager, with a long term trajectory toward Regional Manager responsibility across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona.
You will play a key role in project delivery, client relationships, team leadershipa and cross-office collaboration, working closely with teams in Oklahoma City and Phoenix, while helping grow and stabilize the Irving operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver Geotechnical Engineering and CMT projects from proposal through completion
- Oversee subsurface investigations, laboratory and field testing, and geotechnical reporting
- Provide technical oversight and review for geotechnical analyses and recommendations
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Support business development efforts through client relationships and proposal development
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, project engineers, and field staff
- Collaborate with other offices and regional leaders to share resources and best practices
- Contribute to operational growth with the clear intent of progressing into Branch Manager leadership
Project Experience Will Include
Projects across a diverse range of sectors, including but not limited to:
- Transportation & DOT infrastructure
- Airports & aviation facilities
- K-12 school districts and higher education
- Sports stadiums and large public venues
- Solar and renewable energy projects
- Commercial, municipal, and industrial developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Master's in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering preferred
- PE License preferred (EIT required at minimum, with path toward licensure)
- 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing
- Strong background in project management, client-facing work, and technical delivery
- Experience managing both office-based engineering work and field operations
- Interest in leadership, mentoring, and long-term operational responsibility
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
