Grid Code Compliance Expert
Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
- Define and own the grid-integration and grid-code compliance strategy for wind, hybrid (wind + PV + BESS), gas and dispatchable generation assets in Germany.
- Act as the technical authority for grid-code-related topics towards TSOs, certification bodies and regulatory stakeholders.
- Build, lead and mentor a multi‑disciplinary grid integration team, including project managers, test engineers and external partners.
- Translate regulatory developments (e.g. new FGW guidelines or TSO requirements) into company-wide standards, processes and roadmaps.
- Represent the organisation in expert working groups, technical committees and TSO/DSO coordination forums.
Project & Programme Management
- Provide senior oversight of complex grid integration programmes from early development to commissioning and handover.
- Define work breakdown structures, schedules and resource plans across multiple parallel projects.
- Manage budgets, risks, dependencies and critical paths for grid-related activities.
- Ensure lessons learned are systematically implemented to reduce certification timelines and interface risks.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Manage technical interfaces with:
- German TSOs (e.g. 50Hertz, TenneT, Amprion, TransnetBW)
- DSOs
- OEMs and EPCs
- Accredited certification bodies and test institutes
- Lead technical negotiations on compliance approaches, test scope and acceptance criteria.
- Support commercial and project teams during grid connection agreements and technical annex negotiations.
