Location: Vancouver, WA
Salary: $125,000-$175,000 + Bonus(s)
Job Description: This firm is a leading Heavy Civil General Contractor, seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their team in Vancouver, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for heavy civil construction projects, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary data for estimating.
- Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and proposals to stakeholders.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Experience with estimating software and tools (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
