Industrial Data Engineer
A growing engineering and operations organization in the renewable energy space is seeking an Industrial Data Engineer to connect operational systems with enterprise analytics. This role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, models, and reporting tools that turn plant and business data into actionable insights.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain data pipelines integrating SCADA systems with databases and analytics tools
- Develop dashboards and automated reports for operations, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Create clean, well-defined data models to support KPIs and performance tracking
- Improve data quality, performance, and reliability across systems
- Develop scripts and lightweight applications to support operations and reporting workflows
- Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to translate needs into usable data solutions
- Support deployments, documentation, and ongoing system improvements
What You Bring
- 3+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar
- Strong SQL and experience with relational databases
- Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Working knowledge of Python or similar languages
- Exposure to industrial systems, SCADA, or time-series / IoT data is a strong plus
- Comfortable working end-to-end from data ingestion to user-facing reporting
Nice to Have
- Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms or modern data tooling
- Experience with telemetry data, APIs, or industrial protocols
