International BAS Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Building Automation Technician to support our international projects across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. This role involves extensive travel to client sites worldwide to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems (BAS), including HVAC controls, lighting systems, energy management platforms, and integrated building technologies.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient, culturally aware, and thrives in dynamic environments where autonomy and problem-solving are key.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel internationally to install, configure, and commission BAS systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on automation hardware and software.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct system testing, calibration, and validation to meet performance and compliance standards.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support and training to clients and local teams.
  • Document work performed, system configurations, and service reports accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to improve system designs and workflows.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for international deployments.

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Automation, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in building automation systems installation and service.
  • Strong knowledge of BAS protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks) and platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 75% of the time.
  • Valid passport and eligibility to work across multiple regions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with networking, IP configuration, and system integration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Multilingual communication skills or experience working in multilingual teams.
  • Certifications in BAS platforms or safety standards (e.g., OSHA, F-Gas, KNX).
