Investor Relations Director
We are hiring for a rapidly growing renewable energy investor and developer with a diverse portfolio across Asia-Pacific. The group focuses on developing, investing in, and managing clean energy assets including solar, wind, and energy transition infrastructure.
As the business continues to scale and expand its capital markets activities, we are seeking an experienced Director of Investor Relations to strengthen engagement with global investors and support potential capital market transactions at the project level.
Role Overview
This is a strategic, front-facing role responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors, enhancing the company's visibility in international capital markets, and supporting potential IPO.
The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to US capital markets, with prior experience in IPO processes (preferably US-listed markets) and a deep understanding of investor communications and fundraising dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Investor Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, funds, and strategic partners globally
- Act as the primary point of contact for investor communications and enquiries
- Organise investor meetings, roadshows, and ongoing updates
- Capital Markets & IPO Support
- Support potential IPO or listing processes at project/SPV level (particularly US markets)
- Work closely with internal teams and external advisors (banks, legal, auditors) on capital market transactions
- Prepare investor materials including pitch decks, information memoranda, and disclosures
- Fundraising & Strategic Communications
- Support equity fundraising, private placements, and other capital raising initiatives
- Develop clear and consistent investor messaging aligned with company strategy and performance
- Translate complex project/financial information into compelling investor narratives
- Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Monitor capital market trends, investor sentiment, and peer developments (especially US-listed energy / infrastructure companies)
- Provide insights to senior management on investor expectations and market conditions
- Internal Coordination
- Work cross-functionally with investment, finance, and project teams to gather accurate data and updates
- Ensure consistency in external communications and investor disclosures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA / CFA is a plus)
- 8-15+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Corporate Finance
- Strong familiarity with US capital markets, including SEC requirements and investor expectations
- Prior exposure to IPO processes (US markets preferred)
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) - both written and spoken
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with senior executives and external investors
- High level of commercial acumen and ability to operate in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
