About the Role
LVI is partnering with a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm seeking a dynamic Land Development Division Manager to lead and expand its Community Infrastructure practice in the Central Texas (Austin/San Antonio) market. This leadership role is ideal for a business-minded engineering professional with strong technical expertise, proven management experience, and established industry relationships.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving regional growth, shaping strategy, and building high-performing teams, while overseeing a diverse portfolio of land development and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to influence market direction, strengthen client partnerships, and contribute to long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and strategic direction of the land development division, driving market expansion and increasing regional presence.
- Build, develop, and manage a high-performing engineering team, including mentoring staff and supporting ongoing professional development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, while actively participating in industry organizations and networking initiatives.
- Oversee the successful delivery of private and municipal projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, mixed-use, K-12, industrial, and public infrastructure developments.
- Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, qualifications packages, and marketing initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, project financials, and billing processes to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to align division performance with broader company goals and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in land development, civil engineering, or municipal infrastructure projects, including leadership responsibilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
- Proven experience in business development and maintaining relationships with both public and private sector clients.
- Strong understanding of project management, risk management, and operational performance within a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Must meet company requirements for background checks, drug screening, and driving record compliance.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies.
- Deep knowledge of civil engineering principles, land development practices, and project delivery processes.
