Live Event Account Executive (Associations) - Remote
Live Event Account Executive (Associations) - Remote
About the Role
We're looking for a driven, relationship-first Account Executive to grow our association business within the live event and audiovisual space. This is a hunter role focused on winning new association clients and expanding existing relationships - from smaller shows through to large-scale annual conferences. You'll be the trusted advisor associations turn to for flawless AV, event production, and experiential solutions. This position is fully remote, with travel to client events and venues as needed.
What You'll Do
- Hunt and win new business across the association market, building a pipeline of shows, conferences, and multi-event accounts.
- Grow and nurture existing association relationships, identifying opportunities to expand scope across annual conferences, meeting rooms, and general sessions.
- Act as a consultative product expert - advising clients, making smart recommendations, and helping them invest budget where it matters most (video, activations, scenic, and more).
- Navigate the unique dynamics of associations, working with committees and multiple stakeholders, and building trust across the entire decision-making team rather than a single contact.
- Partner closely with internal operations, project managers, and technical teams to deliver seamless events and accurate proposals.
- Manage the full sales cycle - prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing - while consistently hitting revenue targets.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand presence and generate leads.
What We're Looking For
- Proven business development / "hunter" experience in live events, AV, event production, or experiential - ideally selling into associations or corporate events.
- A strong book of business or the demonstrated ability to build one quickly.
- Solid technical understanding of AV (audio, visual, lighting, LED, projection, rigging, networking, digital signage) - enough to speak confidently with both clients and internal operations.
- Experience managing events ranging from hundreds to several thousand attendees, with large general sessions and multiple breakout/meeting rooms.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling skills.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently, with the discipline to drive your own pipeline.
- Willingness to travel to events, venues, and client meetings as required.
