About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Transmission Line Engineering to lead and develop a regional transmission engineering team. This individual will oversee project execution, drive operational excellence, support business growth initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions.
This is a leadership-focused position with responsibility for team development, client engagement, project oversight, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transmission line engineers and designers.
- Support business development efforts and help expand market presence within the region.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Provide oversight of transmission line projects, ensuring technical accuracy, schedule adherence, and budget management.
- Manage project scope, change orders, resource planning, and client deliverables.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes for engineering work.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and operational improvements across the engineering organization.
- Drive innovation in engineering processes, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of transmission, utility, or related engineering experience.
- Prior leadership or team management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, and budget control.
- Experience overseeing transmission line design and engineering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screenings, including background and driving record checks.
