A nationally respected engineering consultancy is seeking a Market Sector Lead to drive growth and technical excellence in the sports facilities sector within its Diagnostics group. Based in the Dallas office, this leadership role is focused on expanding the firm's footprint in the assessment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization of stadiums, arenas, training centers, and other sports-related infrastructure.
Role Overview
This is a strategic position with both regional and national influence, responsible for leading diagnostics-focused work on sports facilities across the U.S. The successful candidate will serve as a sector champion, guiding business development, client engagement, and technical delivery for projects involving:
- Structural assessments and forensic investigations of existing sports venues.
- Rehabilitation and strengthening of aging or underperforming facilities.
- Envelope evaluations, moisture intrusion studies, and façade restoration.
- Vibration and dynamic performance studies for spectator and athlete environments.
- Integration of sustainability, resilience, and long-term asset planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the sports facilities market sector within the Diagnostics group nationally.
- Develop and maintain client relationships with stadium owners, operators, architects, and contractors.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring technical quality, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams across offices to share expertise and align strategy.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in sports facility diagnostics and performance.
- Mentor staff and contribute to thought leadership through publications, presentations, and industry involvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent credential.
- 12+ years of experience in structural diagnostics, building envelope consulting, or related fields.
- Proven experience with sports facility projects, including stadiums and arenas.
- Strong business development acumen and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project portfolios.
