Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 + Annual Incentive + Comprehensive Benefits

About the Role

My client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer III to lead and execute complex engineering projects across HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role involves designing new systems, rehabilitating existing ones, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. You'll be instrumental in solving engineering challenges and ensuring high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced calculations and develop specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct heating/cooling load analysis, equipment sizing, hydraulic and friction loss calculations.
  • Develop and implement standards, methods, and procedures for design review and inspection.
  • Identify and implement efficient solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Mentor and guide less-experienced engineers, directing workflow and resolving technical issues.
  • Respond to RFIs with clear and concise technical narratives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (required)
  • PE License (preferred)
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design and operations
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in CADD and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
