Mechanical Engineer
We're seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for innovative construction and renovation projects, with an emphasis on mission-critical facilities. This role involves working on multi-discipline projects, requiring strong coordination skills across various engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead mechanical engineer on assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and quality in designs and calculations.
- Develop design solutions that balance performance, cost, and risk, guiding clients toward the best options.
- Produce design documents including conceptual layouts, equipment selections, construction drawings, specifications, and energy models.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver comprehensive, code-compliant, and constructable designs.
- Manage client expectations throughout the design process and serve as their representative during construction (RFIs, submittals, site inspections).
- Mentor junior engineers and designers to foster growth and technical excellence.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the MEP industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain through NCEES.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with Revit.
- Strong commitment to quality and community-focused projects.
