About the Role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Service Sales Representative to join our mechanical contracting team in Chicago. This role focuses on selling HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical service agreements to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering tailored service solutions that meet customer needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, and decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical service contracts.
  • Conduct site visits to assess client needs and develop customized maintenance and service solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close service agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, estimating, engineering) to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and competitor offerings.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC service sales.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of selling service agreements in the commercial, industrial, healthcare, or education sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
