Overview
An established, mid-sized mechanical contractor is seeking a senior leader to take ownership of its Westford, MA office. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational performance, leading project teams, and supporting continued growth across HVAC and plumbing construction projects.
This is a high-impact position suited for someone who combines strong project delivery experience with leadership, client engagement, and business oversight capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Westford office, overseeing project execution and team performance
- Manage a portfolio of large-scale mechanical construction projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing) from preconstruction through closeout
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance of projects and the office
- Support preconstruction efforts, including estimating review, value engineering, and project planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, GCs, and subcontractors
- Drive business growth through client development, repeat work, and strategic pursuits
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and company best practices
- Collaborate with executive leadership on regional strategy, hiring, and operational improvements
Qualifications
- 10-15+ years of experience in mechanical construction (HVAC/plumbing preferred)
- Proven track record managing complex commercial/industrial projects
- Prior experience in a leadership capacity (Senior PM, PM Lead, Operations Manager, or Director-level)
- Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, and forecasting
- Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results
- Experience working with local New England clients and contractors is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
