About the Role

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to support power system design and analysis work across large-scale infrastructure projects.

This role provides exposure to complex electrical systems across sectors such as water, wastewater, industrial, and federal infrastructure, working on projects that have a direct impact on communities and critical systems.

You'll be part of a highly technical team, contributing to both design and analytical work while leveraging advanced power system tools and software.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee power system analysis tasks and engineering projects
  • Act as a technical expert for electrical design, troubleshooting, and system studies
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders on technical matters
  • Function as project lead or project manager across multiple concurrent engagements
  • Provide input and support for technical business development efforts
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
  • Work independently on complex, multi-disciplinary projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering / power systems
  • Ability to travel as needed based on project demands

Preferred Background

  • Experience supporting power systems across:
    • Water / wastewater infrastructure
    • Industrial or manufacturing environments
    • Federal or mission-critical facilities
  • Familiarity with industry standards:
    • NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC
  • Experience in:
    • Power system planning and studies
    • Distributed generation, renewables, and microgrids
    • Medium voltage systems, substations, switchgear, and standby generation
  • Technical publications (e.g., IEEE) are a plus
