About the Role
A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to support power system design and analysis work across large-scale infrastructure projects.
This role provides exposure to complex electrical systems across sectors such as water, wastewater, industrial, and federal infrastructure, working on projects that have a direct impact on communities and critical systems.
You'll be part of a highly technical team, contributing to both design and analytical work while leveraging advanced power system tools and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee power system analysis tasks and engineering projects
- Act as a technical expert for electrical design, troubleshooting, and system studies
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders on technical matters
- Function as project lead or project manager across multiple concurrent engagements
- Provide input and support for technical business development efforts
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
- Work independently on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering / power systems
- Ability to travel as needed based on project demands
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting power systems across:
- Water / wastewater infrastructure
- Industrial or manufacturing environments
- Federal or mission-critical facilities
- Familiarity with industry standards:
- NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC
- Experience in:
- Power system planning and studies
- Distributed generation, renewables, and microgrids
- Medium voltage systems, substations, switchgear, and standby generation
- Technical publications (e.g., IEEE) are a plus
