About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of major water infrastructure projects. This senior position involves providing technical leadership, strategic input, and mentoring across a diverse portfolio of projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and associated civil works. You will play a key role in shaping innovative, sustainable solutions and ensuring projects meet client expectations and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead civil design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design.
- Oversee technical reviews, quality assurance, and compliance with Australian standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver cost-effective, innovative solutions.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in design practices and project methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status highly desirable.
- 10+ years' experience in civil design, with a strong focus on water infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage technical teams.
- Expertise in pipelines, earthworks, drainage, and civil structures for water facilities.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and design software (e.g., Civil 3D, 12D, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
