Professional Land Surveyor
Our client, a well-established firm in the Twin Cities region, is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join their growing team. This role offers a dynamic blend of field and office work, with a clear path toward leadership and team management. Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys for boundary, topographic, and construction projects using advanced equipment and software
- Prepare and review survey documents, plats, legal descriptions, and technical reports
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and timely deliverables
- Split time between fieldwork and office-based tasks, including data analysis and project coordination
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
- Grow into a leadership role with future responsibility for managing direct reports and overseeing survey operations
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Minnesota or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
- Minimum of 2 years of professional surveying experience
- Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center) and GPS/Total Station equipment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for fieldwork
