Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 4 days/week)
Salary: $130,000-$150,000 base + performance-based bonus

A fast-growing renewable energy company is seeking a Project Development Manager to support the expansion of its utility-scale solar and energy storage portfolio across the Eastern United States. Position Overview
The Project Development Manager will lead the development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from early-stage planning through to notice-to-proceed (NTP). This role is based in Charlotte, NC, and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project development activities including site identification, land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective project advancement.
- Support the preparation of investment memos and internal approvals for key project milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and construction teams to ensure project readiness for NTP.
- Monitor regulatory and market developments in key ISOs such as PJM, SERC, and MISO to inform project strategy.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility-scale solar and/or energy storage project development.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas: site acquisition, permitting, interconnection, environmental review, or project financing.
- Familiarity with U.S. energy markets, particularly PJM, SERC, MISO, or SEEM.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
