About the Opportunity

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Executive to oversee and drive the successful execution of large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, healthcare, and advanced technology construction projects throughout Central Texas.

This individual will provide executive-level leadership across multiple project teams, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, client satisfaction, and long-term strategic growth. The Project Executive will serve as a key leader within the organization, managing project portfolios while mentoring Project Managers and developing future operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of multiple mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and operational teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain accountability for project profitability, forecasting, risk management, and financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, architects, and key project stakeholders.
• Participate in business development efforts, strategic planning, and client relationship management.
• Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, operations, VDC, fabrication, and field leadership teams to ensure project success.
• Identify operational challenges and implement proactive solutions to improve project outcomes.
• Support contract negotiations, change management, and dispute resolution when necessary.
• Review project schedules, manpower planning, procurement strategies, and resource allocation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution and operational processes.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding project performance and business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical construction experience with a strong foundation in project management and operations leadership.
• Experience leading large-scale commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and P&L responsibility.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing Project Managers and operational personnel.
• Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plumbing, fabrication, and mechanical construction systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
