Account Manager - HVAC Service & Maintenance

About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a growing mechanical contractor in the Austin market seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive service and maintenance growth across commercial clients. This individual will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, selling preventative maintenance agreements, and developing new business opportunities throughout the region.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the commercial HVAC/mechanical service industry who enjoys relationship-building, business development, and creating long-term service partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with commercial building owners, property managers, facility managers, and general contractors.
- Develop and grow a portfolio of preventative maintenance (PM) agreements.
- Identify and pursue new service opportunities, repairs, retrofits, and mechanical upgrades.
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and facility assessments.
- Generate proposals, negotiate service agreements, and close new business.
- Partner closely with service managers and technicians to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain regular contact with existing accounts while actively prospecting for new business.
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and revenue forecasts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical service sales/account management.
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance contracts, HVAC systems, and mechanical services.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Experience selling into commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or mission-critical facilities is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and ability to grow a territory.
Preferred
- Established relationships within the Austin commercial construction, facilities, or property management market.
- Existing book of business that can be leveraged for immediate growth.
- Experience working for a mechanical contractor, HVAC service provider, or facilities services company.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission.
- Vehicle allowance and full benefits package.
- Significant earning potential for individuals able to bring existing relationships and generate new business.
