Project Manager Building Envelope Consultant
Overview
An established consulting organization in the building science and construction space is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in building enclosure systems. This role involves leading technical projects, supporting client development, and contributing to a growing multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead building enclosure consulting and commissioning efforts across a range of project types
- Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables
- Provide technical oversight and review of reports, drawings, and related documentation
- Support design and construction phases for new development projects
- Perform field investigations, condition assessments, and develop repair recommendations for existing buildings
Client & Business Development
- Maintain and build client relationships
- Prepare proposals and contribute to securing new work
- Assist with achieving team performance and financial goals
Team Leadership
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Support team growth and resource coordination
Industry Engagement
- Participate in professional activities such as organizations, events, or technical publications
Schedule & Travel
- Full-time position
- Occasional travel (up to ~25%) depending on project needs

Qualifications
Required
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience
(or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems and construction practices
- Experience managing technical projects of varying size and complexity
- Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills
- Ability to perform site visits and fieldwork as needed
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Experience with building enclosure commissioning or similar services
- Professional licensure or progress toward licensure
- Familiarity with enclosure testing, façade assessment, or repair design
- Working knowledge of relevant modeling or analysis tools
- Experience with common AEC software platforms
- Industry certifications related to building enclosure or commissioning
