Project Manager Building Envelope Consultant

Overview

An established consulting organization in the building science and construction space is seeking a Senior Project Manager with expertise in building enclosure systems. This role involves leading technical projects, supporting client development, and contributing to a growing multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead building enclosure consulting and commissioning efforts across a range of project types
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and deliverables
  • Provide technical oversight and review of reports, drawings, and related documentation
  • Support design and construction phases for new development projects
  • Perform field investigations, condition assessments, and develop repair recommendations for existing buildings

Client & Business Development

  • Maintain and build client relationships
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to securing new work
  • Assist with achieving team performance and financial goals

Team Leadership

  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members
  • Support team growth and resource coordination

Industry Engagement

  • Participate in professional activities such as organizations, events, or technical publications

Schedule & Travel

  • Full-time position
  • Occasional travel (up to ~25%) depending on project needs

Qualifications

Required

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience
    (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong knowledge of building enclosure systems and construction practices
  • Experience managing technical projects of varying size and complexity
  • Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to perform site visits and fieldwork as needed
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred

  • Experience with building enclosure commissioning or similar services
  • Professional licensure or progress toward licensure
  • Familiarity with enclosure testing, façade assessment, or repair design
  • Working knowledge of relevant modeling or analysis tools
  • Experience with common AEC software platforms
  • Industry certifications related to building enclosure or commissioning
