What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and vendors
- Provide on-demand technical guidance and act as a subject matter resource for client teams
- Evaluate engineering documents such as plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and technical drawings
- Represent projects in public settings, including board meetings, commission hearings, and community forums
- Support construction-phase activities, including field coordination and project closeout efforts
- Contribute to the development and refinement of engineering standards and design criteria
- Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts across internal teams and client organizations
- Develop and review cost projections and construction budgets
- Build and maintain project timelines, ensuring alignment with overall program goals
- Assist with securing funding through grants and oversee compliance with funding requirements
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations
- Support staff development through mentoring, training, and participation in hiring processes
- Delegate and manage tasks among project stakeholders and technical teams
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited program
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure is a plus
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in engineering consulting, public works, or similar environments
- Background in infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater, transportation, drainage, or environmental systems
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and working directly with public-sector clients
- Strong knowledge of design practices, construction methodologies, and applicable regulations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities across different clients and projects
- A collaborative, solution-oriented, and client-centric mindset
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with applicable design standards, codes, and permitting processes
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $130,000 - $160,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
- Eligibility for additional compensation, including performance-based incentives tied to individual and organizational outcomes
