Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Structural Team. This role will be responsible for leading projects from early planning through closeout, while managing staff, equipment, materials, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and owner relationships.

This position is well suited to someone who can take ownership of complex structural projects, keep teams aligned, and balance safety, quality, cost control, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural construction projects from planning through final closeout
  • Manage project resources including staff, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Serve as the main point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with support from superintendents and schedulers
  • Monitor project budgets, job costs, margins, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Review proposals, plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
  • Support preconstruction planning, buyout, purchase orders, subcontracts, and project setup
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents, project engineers, estimators, and operations leadership
  • Review change orders, pay requests, invoices, claims, and project documentation
  • Identify project risks early and help resolve issues before they impact schedule or cost
  • Partner with safety leadership to ensure safe working conditions and strong jobsite practices
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed to project standards
  • Mentor project staff and help develop superintendents, project engineers, and team members
  • Drive strong communication across owners, field teams, office staff, and subcontractors

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of supervisory or project management experience in the construction industry
  • Experience managing structural, commercial, industrial, or complex building projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, estimating, and cost control
  • Previous experience working closely with craft labor, foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and project documents
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused and team-oriented approach
  • Proven ability to lead people, manage priorities, and drive results through others
  • Strong planning, organization, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Ability to think ahead and plan work over longer project timelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills at both project and operational levels
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Viewpoint Vista, HCSS HeavyJob, estimating software, and scheduling software is a plus
