Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead a major utility‑scale renewable energy project. This position oversees the complete project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement through construction and commissioning, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with safety, quality, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a technical mindset, and in‑depth experience with large‑scale renewable energy assets.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex renewable energy projects (100 MW+).
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop, manage, and track project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability goals.
Team & Cross-Functional Management
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations.
- Cultivate collaboration, clear communication, and a strong team dynamic.
Financial & Budget Oversight
- Manage project budgets with an emphasis on cost control and resource optimization.
- Perform financial and risk analyses to support project viability and profitability.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate project‑related technical, regulatory, and financial risks.
- Implement contingency strategies to address unforeseen challenges.
Regulatory & Permitting Compliance
- Ensure all required permits, licenses, and approvals are secured and properly maintained.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and uphold environmental and safety compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, contractors, investors, and community partners.
- Provide timely project updates and performance reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
Quality & Safety Assurance
- Uphold rigorous safety, quality, and environmental standards across all activities.
- Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years overseeing utility‑scale renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale projects on time and on budget.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of renewable technologies (solar, wind, energy storage).
- Proficient with major project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Knowledgeable in permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact processes.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Exceptional leadership and team‑building capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Innovative problem‑solver focused on efficiency and performance.
Preferred Certifications
