A nationally recognized engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Water/Wastewater Practice Leader to drive the strategic growth and technical excellence of its water and wastewater services. This high-impact leadership role will shape the future of the firm's water infrastructure practice.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the firm's Water/Wastewater Practice across all regions.
  • Oversee operations, staff development, and project delivery for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure quality, workload balance, and client satisfaction.
  • Guide strategic decisions on market expansion, hiring, and resource allocation.
  • Serve in key project roles such as Principal-in-Charge, Pursuit Champion, or Project Manager.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to elevate national visibility.
  • Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration with other business units and technical teams.
  • Support client engagement strategies and ensure delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • At least 8 years in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Minimum 5 years in business development or client-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated success in growing a practice and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Experience working with public utilities and municipal clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure funding programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with trenchless technologies, treatment systems, SCADA integration, and hydraulic modeling.
  • Proficiency in tools such as InfoWater, SewerGEMS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.
