Regional Manager
A well-established engineering consulting firm is looking for a dynamic and experienced licensed engineer to lead operations at one of its regional offices located in Salt Lake City. This leadership role encompasses oversight of technical execution, business development, financial performance, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong ethical foundation, strategic vision, and a collaborative leadership style to guide a multidisciplinary team. This position reports directly to a senior division executive.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Technical Skills
- Supervise and mentor technical and administrative staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure alignment with corporate policies, strategic goals, and communication standards.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, and team structure.
Strategic Growth & Client Engagement
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and client relationships.
- Develop and execute annual business strategies with both short- and long-term objectives.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients and industry partners.
Financial Oversight
- Drive performance metrics including revenue, profitability, and resource utilization.
- Prepare and manage office budgets and project financials.
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and project planning.
- Monitor financial health through internal systems and ensure timely project delivery.
Project & Safety Management
- Serve as a senior technical advisor or project leader on complex assignments.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety training requirements.
- Participate in professional organizations and contribute to industry knowledge through publications or presentations.
