Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer to join a growing team in a fully remote capacity. This position is primarily design-focused, requiring advanced technical expertise in geotechnical engineering. You will lead design efforts for foundations, retaining structures, and ground improvement systems, while providing technical guidance and quality assurance on major projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, excavation support, and ground improvement systems
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and design documents
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Support project management activities and client communication
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)
- 6+ years of geotechnical engineering experience with a strong focus on design
- Proficiency in geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS, LPILE, gINT, SLOPE/W, GRLWEAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities
