About the Role:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Asset Manager to join a fast-growing renewable energy company focused on battery energy storage systems in Japan. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about optimizing energy assets and contributing to the country's clean energy transition.

You will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and technical performance of energy storage projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and deliver strong returns. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to manage risks, improve asset efficiency, and support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
    Monitor system performance and ensure assets operate efficiently and reliably. Coordinate with maintenance teams to uphold safety and compliance standards.

  • Performance Improvement:
    Analyze key metrics and implement strategies to enhance asset output. Identify issues early and lead resolution efforts to maintain optimal performance.

  • Financial & Structural Management:
    Manage investment structures and ensure smooth financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with financing agreements.

  • Risk & Compliance:
    Proactively identify operational and regulatory risks. Lead incident response and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.

  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Maintain strong communication with partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Provide updates on asset status and support integration with grid infrastructure.

  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Prepare regular reports on technical and financial performance. Use data insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Contribution:
    Support long-term planning, including asset lifecycle management, portfolio expansion, and investment optimization.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in asset management within energy, infrastructure, or real estate sectors
  • Familiarity with investment structures and project finance (GK/TK knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Business-level English proficiency; Japanese fluency preferred
  • Experience with utility-scale solar or battery storage projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
