About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead health and safety initiatives across industrial and commercial construction projects throughout North and South Carolina. This role is critical to maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a strong safety culture across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incidents, and reporting.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into planning and execution.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management within industrial or commercial construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel across North and South Carolina as needed.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, or equivalent.
- Experience with incident reporting systems and safety management software.
Preferred Experience
- Projects involving manufacturing facilities, data centers, or large-scale commercial builds.
- Experience working with both union and non-union labor.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
