Sales Director - Water Filtration Solutions
Location: Ramsey, NJ
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Director to lead and scale our commercial growth strategy for a leading water filtration and treatment solutions provider. This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding market share, and building a high-performing sales organization across key verticals including commercial, industrial, and municipal customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Leadership: Own and deliver against revenue targets, pipeline development, and sales forecasting
- Team Management: Recruit, coach, and lead a team of territory sales representatives and account managers
- Strategic Growth: Identify and execute market expansion opportunities across new industries and regions
- Key Account Development: Build and maintain relationships with large strategic customers and partners
- Solution Selling: Drive a consultative sales approach focused on water filtration, treatment systems, and service programs
- Channel Development: Develop distributor, dealer, and partner networks to expand go-to-market reach
- Performance Management: Establish KPIs, monitor team performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, service, and technical teams to ensure seamless customer delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; business, engineering, or related field preferred
- 7-10+ years of sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in water filtration, water treatment, industrial equipment, or technical B2B sales strongly preferred
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and scaling sales organizations
- Strong understanding of solution-based / consultative selling models
- Ability to translate technical offerings into business value for customers
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Preferred Experience
- Background in water quality systems, filtration technologies, or environmental solutions
- Experience selling into industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, food & beverage, commercial facilities, or municipalities
- Familiarity with service-based or recurring revenue business models
