An established international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join its growing Singapore team.
This is an opportunity to take a lead role on major building developments, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams on the delivery of complex projects across the built environment sector. The position offers a blend of technical leadership, project management, client engagement and team mentoring responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collaborate with internal disciplines, stakeholders and external project partners.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders and business development initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, design reviews and strategic engineering input.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
- Manage project coordination, programme delivery and quality assurance on major developments.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
- Minimum 8 years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment.
- Strong technical design capabilities and familiarity with industry-standard design software.
- Proven experience leading projects, coordinating teams and managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration would be advantageous.
Ideal Background
The successful candidate will have experience delivering and managing the design of major building projects, including:
- Commercial developments
- Residential developments
- Institutional and educational facilities
- High-rise buildings
- Mixed-use developments
Experience with precast construction, prestressed concrete, steel structures, PPVC, or modern methods of construction would be highly regarded.
