Position Summary

A growing engineering firm in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join a team dedicated to delivering personalized, community‑focused engineering solutions across Oregon and Washington. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer interested in expanding into office management, team leadership, client engagement, and future firm ownership opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to fund, plan, and design municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utilities, site development, and transportation projects.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivery plans.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, design drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide public presentations to clients, community groups, and agencies.
  • Support clients through funding applications, bidding assistance, and construction management for a range of municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to client relationship management and business development efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, water resources, or related public infrastructure design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or Washington, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong public speaking skills and experience presenting to clients, the public, and contractors.
  • Experience writing planning documents, agreements, and task orders.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including coordination of subconsultants.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability: mentoring, training, motivating, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
