Senior Control Engineer
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC systems to lead the design, development, and support of industrial automation solutions. This role is critical in driving operational excellence through robust control systems and process automation across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission automation systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix) and Rockwell Automation platforms.
- Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk View, RSView32, etc.).
- Lead automation projects from concept through implementation, including system architecture, I/O design, and integration with field devices.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing PLC programs to improve system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to deliver integrated automation solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and internal quality procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on best practices in automation and controls.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial automation and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation platforms.
- Strong knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, and PLC programming standards.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, etc.).
- Familiarity with safety PLCs, motion control, and VFDs.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and project management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in [industry-specific context, e.g., food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, automotive, etc.].
- Knowledge of ISA standards, GAMP, or IEC 61131-3.
- Familiarity with robotics integration or MES systems.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Rockwell Automation Certified Programmer).
