Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, analysis, and review of electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, UPS, generators, and grounding systems.
- Conduct load studies, short circuit analysis, arc flash assessments, and power system modeling.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated, code-compliant, and cost-effective designs.
- Support commissioning and QA/QC processes, including factory witness testing and field inspections (minimal travel may be required).
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform design strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design, with 5+ years in mission-critical/data center environments.
- PE license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and other relevant standards.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
