A leading MEP consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Atlanta office. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for an experienced professional with 10+ years of electrical design experience, particularly in healthcare and higher education environments. Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design efforts for complex institutional projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet client goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for healthcare and university buildings.
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and system layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive design.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to support design development and construction administration.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for buildings.
- Proven experience in higher education and/or healthcare projects.
- PE licensure strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and design best practices.
