Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in power system design and analysis to support a wide range of infrastructure and industrial projects. This role involves leading technical efforts, performing system studies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality electrical solutions. You will work on projects that span planning, design, and construction support while contributing to technically complex and meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical system designs for projects including power distribution, protection schemes, and generation systems
- Perform electrical studies such as load flow, short circuit, coordination, and lighting analysis
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design packages for project execution and internal knowledge sharing
- Conduct site evaluations and adjust designs based on field conditions and project requirements
- Support proposal development and work with clients to understand and shape project needs
- Participate in industry events and technical discussions to support business growth
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across project teams
- Lead or support multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and technical accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and analysis
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Experience with electrical systems in water, wastewater, industrial, federal, or transportation projects
- Strong knowledge of power systems, including medium- and low‑voltage distribution
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and related codes
- Experience using power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, or similar software
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both clients and internal teams
Preferred Experience
- Experience with substations, standby power systems, or distributed energy systems
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems or microgrids
- Familiarity working within regulated or federal project environments
- Exposure to technical publications or industry contributions
Work Environment
- Flexible or hybrid work options available depending on project needs
- Limited travel, typically around 5-10%
