We're seeking a Senior Field Lead Engineer with strong site experience to oversee quality assurance and commissioning activities across multiple projects. This role involves significant travel to job sites (approximately 80% of working hours) and requires hands-on leadership in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Site Inspections: Perform solar inspections including racking, modules, wiring, terminations, enclosures, transformers, inverters, grounding, and communications.
  • Commissioning Oversight: Manage voltage checks, insulation tests, ground continuity, inverter startup, monitoring systems, and utility witness tests.
  • QA/QC Leadership: Act as the on-site representative for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with project standards and documentation.
  • Tool & Equipment Management: Prepare job tools and ensure calibrated instruments (torque wrenches, circuit testers, thermal cameras) are ready for inspections.
  • Drone & Imagery Support: Conduct aerial inspections and capture imagery for reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Several years of site superintendent experience on solar projects, preferably with electrical and engineering expertise.
  • Project Scale: Familiarity with projects ranging from 1 MW to 20 MW.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge of solar systems and commissioning processes.
    • Ability to lead client-facing activities and coordinate with senior engineers and project managers.
    • Comfortable with extensive travel and field-based work.
