Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We're seeking a self‑driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer with strong business acumen and a true ownership mentality. In this role, you'll collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team while building client relationships, shaping strategy, and leading geotechnical work from concept through completion.
What You'll Do
- Manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary client contact, defining needs and developing winning proposal strategies.
- Perform and review geotechnical calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Lead work on shallow/deep foundations, retaining systems, MSE walls, karst assessments, slope stability, ground improvement, and geotechnical support for energy and solid waste projects.
- Support dam inspections, monitoring, rehabilitation, and permitting.
- Identify risks early and develop effective technical solutions.
What You Bring
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. in Geotechnical preferred)
- P.E. license + 5+ years of geotechnical experience
- Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and work both independently and collaboratively
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering software
- Financial awareness, including budgeting and payment term management
